Is your name available?

Checks .com, .co.uk, .org, .org.uk and .net against the official registries.

    Choosing a good name

Short, simple and easy to say.

Easy to say on the phone

If you have to spell it out or explain a hyphen, people will get it wrong. Say it out loud before you buy it.

    .co.uk or .com?

For a UK business, .co.uk tells customers you are local. If you can, take the .com too so nobody else can.

    Short beats clever

Your business name, or your name plus what you do or where, is usually the right answer.

    Protect the obvious variations

The common misspelling, or the version with and without "the", can be pointed at your main site for very little.

Why let us look after it

A lost domain takes your website and email with it.

    • Registered in your name. You own it outright, always.
    • Renewed automatically. An expired domain switches off your website and your email on the same day, and can be snapped up by someone else.
    • Set up properly for email. The settings that stop your emails landing in spam are done for you.
    • Moved without the downtime. If your domain is somewhere else, we can move it across with your website and email staying up.
    • One person to call. Domain, website and email, all looked after in one place.

Found the one? Let’s secure it.

Tell us the name you want, and we will register it in your name and set it up properly for your website and email.

    Questions

    Fair questions.

    Who owns the domain?

You do. It is registered in your name, and if you ever move on, it goes with you.

My domain is with someone else. Is that a problem?

Not at all. We can work with it where it is, or move it across for you without your website or email going down.

What does "Couldn’t check" mean in the checker?

Occasionally a registry does not answer in time. Try again in a minute, or ask us and we will check it by hand.

Do I need more than one domain?

Usually one is enough. Some businesses also take the .com or a common misspelling and point it at their main site, so customers always find them.
