Web Design
Websites that win you work.
Bespoke WordPress websites for UK businesses. Designed for phones first, built to be found on Google, and simple to update yourself. No templates, no techno-babble.
What goes into it
A good website is more than pictures and words.
Your brand
Whether you have full brand guidelines or barely a logo, the site will look and sound like you, so people know it is yours and remember it.
Found on Google, and by AI
Proper structure and local SEO, plus the groundwork that gets you picked up by AI answers in Google, Bing, ChatGPT and the rest. You do not need to worry about the jargon. I have got it.
Speed
Signal in Cornwall and Devon is patchy, I know it first hand. Your site is built to load on two bars, because local customers will not wait.
Designed for phones
Most of your visitors are on a phone, and some have the page read aloud to them. Every site is designed for the small screen first, and built to be accessible.
Built to convert
A lovely site that does not bring in enquiries is not doing its job. Clear calls to action, easy forms, and a gentle nudge from just looking to let us talk.
Kept improving
A website is never really finished. We look at what real visitors do and make small, sensible tweaks, so it gets better instead of going stale.
What you get
Everything a small business site should come with.
- A site that works in a car park with two bars of signal. Speed is not vanity. It is the difference between an enquiry and a visitor going back to your competitor.
- The local SEO groundwork done. Page structure, business details for search engines, your Google Business Profile connected, and page titles that match what people really type.
- A site you can update yourself. Change your opening hours or add a photo in two minutes. Or leave it to me as part of our Hosting and Maintenance plan.
- Built to last. WordPress runs a huge share of the web and is not going anywhere. Some of my clients have been on the same build for a decade.
- Yours, outright. Your domain, your content and your website belong to you.
- A fixed price in clear stages. No surprises, and nothing starts without your go ahead.

From first chat to launch day.
1. A chat
Half an hour on the phone, or in person if you prefer. What you do, who you want to reach, and what frustrates you about your current site. I will tell you if you do not need what you think you need.
2. A fixed price
A clear proposal in stages, with a timeline. No jargon and no slide deck.
3. Design and build
You see the design before it is built, then watch it take shape. Your feedback goes in at every stage.
4. Launch and look after
We go live together, and I show you how to update it. Then our Hosting and Maintenance plan keeps it fast, secure and backed up.
Ready for a website that earns its keep?
Tell me about your business and what you need the website to do. You will get a fixed price proposal, and the chat is always free.
Questions
Fair questions.
How long does a new website take?
It depends mostly on how quickly the words and photos come together. Your proposal includes a timeline, and I will tell you up front if anything might hold it up.
Do I own the website?
Yes. The domain, the content and the website are yours. If you ever move on, you take it all with you.
Can I update it myself?
Yes. It is built in WordPress, and I will show you how. If you would rather not, updates are part of our Hosting and Maintenance plan.
Do you use templates?
No. Every site is designed for your business from scratch, on WordPress.
What about hosting?
Fast UK hosting, backups, updates and security are covered by our Hosting and Maintenance plan, so there is one person to call if anything goes wrong.
I already have a website. Where do I start?
With a free Website Health Check. It shows what is working and what is costing you, in plain English, so we can talk about what is actually worth fixing.
